We often use solid teak and stone finishes to replicate that classic *GarbhaGruha* (sanctum sanctorum) feel. Whether you want a heavy, carved wooden mantap or a minimalist backlit stone wall, the lighting and acoustics matter as much as the materials. We have found that using natural stone cladding against warm ambient light creates the silence and depth you look for during early morning prayers. Building a mandir in a modern layout requires balancing tradition with space constraints. We do not believe in 'standard' pooja rooms. For us, every pooja ghar is a dedicated temple inside the house, and it should reflect your family's roots. ### Our Approach to Sacred Spaces * **Materials & Craft:** We lean towards Burma Teak for pillars and doors because it ages gracefully and carries a natural warmth. If you prefer the cool, grounded feel of a traditional temple, we suggest stone cladding or granite features. These materials are durable and carry a timeless aesthetic. * **The 'GarbhaGruha' Vibe:** Our goal is to bring that temple-like silence into your living space. We achieve this through subtle backlighting, custom-carved shutters, and precise layout planning. It is not just about where the idol sits; it is about the experience of entering that space. * **Personalization:** From the 'Ayodhya' residence with its temple-inspired wooden pillars to the 'Gowdru Mane' project where we balanced teakwood with soft patterns, every design reflects the family’s specific traditions and preferences. If you are planning your home in Bangalore or Davangere, talk to us about how we can carve out this special space for your family. We handle everything from the initial design concept to the final installation of carved wooden mantaps or stone mandirs, ensuring the process is as smooth as the final finish. ## About DB Architects At DB Architects, we treat every pooja room as a sacred extension of your family’s faith.
