Here is a look at my recent custom projects in Mumbai. ## Photos and videos - ![This live-edge dining table, made from a single slab of wood, is the centerpiece of this dining area. The natural grain of the wood is preserved and highlighted, while the modern black metal base provides a strong contrast. I avoid shortcuts, so every mortise and tenon joint is hand-finished before it ever leaves the studio floor. You get a piece that is built for daily use, not just for looks. My process is straightforward because I handle the manufacturing end-to-end. We start with your idea—be it a napkin sketch or a Pinterest photo—and convert it into technical drawings for your approval. Because we build in-house, we eliminate the dust and noise usually associated with on-site carpentry. ### Why Build Locally in Vasai? Most furniture today is made from low-grade engineered wood that warps within a year. In my studio, we stick to solid teak and ashwood. These materials are chosen for their density and grain quality. Whether it is a living room sofa with specific curves or a dining table with a live-edge slab, we focus on the structure first. ### Projects We Deliver - **Living Room Sets:** We build sofas and daybeds with durable high-resilience foam to prevent sagging. - **Dining Arrangements:** From mortise-joined chairs to heavy solid wood tables, these are built for high-traffic use, including restaurant installations. - **Bedroom Solutions:** We avoid flimsy materials for beds and wardrobes, using marine-grade plywood and premium veneers for a finish that stands up to Mumbai’s humidity. If you have a project in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, my team and I handle everything from the initial material selection to the final placement in your home. You are not just buying a product; you are getting a piece that was engineered to fit your specific space. ## About Darsh Designs I am Darsh, and I lead the team here at Darsh Designs.
