I emphasize *abhinaya* (expressions) and *mudras* (hand gestures) to help you tell a story with your body. Whether we are practicing a slow melody or a vibrant contemporary piece, the goal is to help you find your unique flow and connect deeply with the music, regardless of your previous dance experience. ### My Approach to Dance For me, dance is devotion. My sessions are designed to be a safe, supportive space where you can leave the noise of the day behind and just focus on the rhythm. We explore a beautiful blend of styles: * **Semi-Classical:** This is my core. We mix Bollywood melodies with graceful, expressive movements inspired by Kathak. It is about elegance, poise, and the connection between the song and your heart. * **Contemporary Fusion:** Here, we focus on fluidity. We work on posture, stamina, and learning how to move with freedom. It is perfect if you want to challenge your body while expressing raw emotion. ### Practical Details I believe in small group sizes so that every student gets attention. * **Weekend Workshops:** These are 2-hour intensive sessions where we learn a full routine from start to finish. They are great if you have a busy schedule and want a quick, creative break. * **Monthly Courses:** We meet twice a week for 8 classes a month. This is where we deep-dive into technique, posture, and refining those intricate *matkas* and *jhatkas*. * **Location:** You can find me at my studio in HSR Layout and Haralur. If you are not in the city or prefer the comfort of home, I offer online sessions that maintain that same high-energy studio vibe. You do not need to be a professional to start.
