I work with children to build their science models, craft assignments, and holiday homework from scratch, helping them understand every step along the way. ## Photos and videos - ![The beginning of a periscope school project. Instead, I guide them through the process, helping them understand the science or the logic behind what they are making. When a child builds their own periscope or paints their own poster, they aren't just finishing an assignment; they are learning how to solve problems and taking full ownership of their work. School projects are often a source of tension for parents, but they don't have to be. My studio in C.R. Park serves as a creative workspace where children can come to get their hands messy and get their homework done, without the typical stress. ### How We Work Whether your child has a science fair model to build, a holiday homework booklet to finish, or a creative poster to design, the approach is always the same: facilitation. We start by gathering materials and breaking the project down into manageable steps. If it is a science model, like a periscope, we look at the physics—the angles, the reflection—so they actually learn while they assemble. ### Why It Matters My goal isn't just to hand back a completed project that looks perfect. It is to help your child feel capable. When they walk back into school, I want them to be able to explain exactly how they built it and why it works. ### Practical Details - **Venue:** All project work is done in my air-conditioned residential studio in C.R. Park. - **Support:** We provide the space, the guidance, and the basic tools. - **Process:** We focus on one step at a time, keeping it fun so that the 'work' feels like play. If you are stuck on a specific assignment or just need a calm environment for your child to focus on their holiday tasks, let's connect and get it sorted. ## About Curious Minds DIY I'm the heart behind Curious Minds, and I've spent years watching kids turn simple materials into something they’re proud to show off.
