When our little ones dress up for Gudi Padwa or work together on a leaf-art Ganesha, they are engaging in hands-on cultural connection. We find that children learn best when they are participating in the storytelling, rather than just listening to it. At Cubby Tales, our festival calendar is part of our commitment to holistic learning. We want children to feel the joy and significance of every celebration, creating memories that make them feel part of a larger community. ### Learning Through Celebration We approach every festival with the same philosophy: learning through play. * **Cultural Roots:** During Onam, children learn about the harvest through traditional clothes and pretend-play boats. For Sankranti, we explore traditions through stories and festive crafts. * **Creative Expression:** Whether it’s creating a Ganesha idol from leaves for Ganesh Chaturthi or crafting Santa and reindeer masks for Christmas, we focus on tactile activities that build fine motor skills. * **Patriotism & Values:** We mark Independence Day and Republic Day not just with speeches, but by teaching kids about freedom fighters through songs like 'Nanhe Munne Rahi Hoon'. Seeing them march with pride is how we foster a sense of belonging and community. ### The 'Why' Behind the Fun Festivals break the monotony of the standard curriculum. They provide a perfect opportunity to teach children about sharing, patience, and inclusion. When we host a dahi handi for Janmashtami, it’s not just about the piñata; it’s about coordination, teamwork, and the excitement of a shared goal. Our Koramangala space is designed to be a safe, welcoming environment where every child feels the warmth of the season, regardless of their background. If you’re looking for an environment where your child learns about the world through laughter, songs, and inclusive celebrations, we invite you to come see us. ## About Cubby Tales We believe childhood is a precious window, not a race. Our Koramangala space is a second home where we guide children through their first festive memories with laughter, music, and plenty of messy, creative fun.
