Whether it is a quiet afternoon at a cafe like Blue Tokai or a collaborative session with an NGO, these workshops are designed to be your happy place where you can unwind, meet fellow creators, and leave with more than just a handmade project. ### Why This Space is Different I believe the best things happen when we let go of perfection. My workshops aren't just classes; they are art dates. I’ve hosted sessions at venues like Museo Camera and local cafes, creating an environment where you can walk in as a total beginner and leave feeling like you’ve been part of a tribe all along. ### What You Can Expect - **A Judgement-Free Zone:** Whether you’re learning to hold the hook for the first time or trying to master a complex amigurumi toy, there is no pressure. The focus is on the joy of making. - **Social Stitches:** We share chai, gossip, and life stories alongside our yarn. It is a genuine way to switch off from digital screens and reconnect with people. - **Community Impact:** I also take these workshops to schools and NGOs like the Salaam Baalak Trust. Seeing the sense of achievement on the faces of children and participants is what drives me to keep spreading this art. ### Practical Details - **Beginner Friendly:** You don’t need to bring anything. I provide the full kit, including the hook, yarn, and the coffee coupon to keep you energized. - **Small Batches:** I keep groups small (usually 6-10 people) so I can actually sit with you and fix your grip, not just stand at the front and talk. - **Feedback-Driven:** My curriculum evolves because I listen to my students. Those handwritten notes and messages I receive after workshops aren’t just souvenirs; they are the roadmap for how I improve my teaching each month. ## About Crochet Kala I started Crochet Kala because I wanted a space where 'perfect' didn't matter as much as 'present'. My workshops are less about a rigid curriculum and more about creating a chill vibe where you can make friends, enjoy some chai, and let your creativity flow, one loop at a time.
