We don't just teach technique; we put our students in situations where the team is 113 for 9, teaching them how to build a partnership when the game is actually on the line. Success at Cricket Explained isn't measured by how good you look in the nets—it's measured by how you handle the heat of a match. My philosophy is simple: talent is common, but discipline is rare. ### Building Thinking Players We move players beyond rote drills. Whether it is 11-year-old Tvisha batting 99 balls to save a game, or 10-year-old Jiaan spinning a web for a five-wicket haul, the goal is always the same: make them 'thinking players.' We simulate match pressure so that when they walk out at Azad Maidan or in the Harris Shield, they aren't surprised. ### The Path to MCA A significant part of our program is bridging the gap between local leagues and the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) selection trials. Seeing a student like Aayush make the U-16 Payyade Trophy squad isn't just about his skill with the bat; it is about the years of work on his mindset and his ability to adapt to new bowlers and conditions. ### Why Our Methodology Works * **Match-Scenario Drills:** We don't just bowl at stumps. We create scenarios where the required run rate is high or the wicket is falling. * **Holistic Growth:** We focus on the girl athletes as much as the boys, ensuring everyone gets high-performance exposure. * **Real Accountability:** We maintain professional digital scoring and tactical debriefs after every game, so players own their performance data. At the end of the day, I want my students to walk out of the academy tougher for life, not just for the game. We push them to make different mistakes, learn, and then own the pitch. ## About Cricket Explained I believe coaching is more than just teaching technique—it’s about building a thinking player. When I see a student step up when the game is in the balance, that’s my biggest win. I don't look for raw talent; I look for the hunger to put in the work.
