## About Project: The Long House

The 24-foot cantilever featured in this residence is not purely a visual statement; it functions as a sheltered transitional space that bridges the interior living area with the garden. We coordinate directly with structural engineers to ensure these heavy concrete elements maintain a floating aesthetic while remaining strictly compliant with site-specific Vastu requirements.

### Architectural Philosophy

The Long House is organized along a singular, strict linear axis. This arrangement maximizes natural ventilation and daylight penetration, critical for residential comfort in tropical climates. By aligning the primary living volumes with a central courtyard, we create a residence that functions as a breathing entity, where the distinction between interior rooms and the garden becomes fluid.

### Materiality and Structure

Our material palette relies on honesty and durability. We utilize exposed concrete, or beton brut, to provide the structure with a monumental, sculptural quality. This is balanced by the warmth of timber cladding and large glass spans. The 24-foot cantilever serves as a key structural element, requiring specialized shuttering drawings and precise coordination with structural engineers to achieve the desired floating effect without compromising safety.

### Our Process

We provide an end-to-end design service that translates complex architectural concepts into reality:

* **Conceptualization:** Site context analysis, wind, and sun path mapping.
* **Technical Engineering:** Specialized structural drawings for heavy elements and integrated MEP layouts concealed within raw surfaces.
* **Execution Support:** We deliver comprehensive Good for Construction (GFC) drawings, including door and window schedules, ensuring accuracy during site execution. We also conduct periodic visits during critical casting phases to ensure the design intent is preserved.
