they show how our black box theatre in Kengeri transforms for every show. Whether it is a stripped-back Hindustani vocal recital or a high-energy comedy set, we ensure the technical setup and seating are tailored to keep the experience intimate, always bringing the audience within six feet of the action. Our stage has seen everything from intimate Hindustani recitals and stand-up comedy to folk storytelling and workshops. When you look through these archives, you get a sense of the sheer variety we embrace here in Kengeri. We believe that art does not have a single home; it thrives wherever there is space for connection. That is why our black box theatre is designed to be flexible, adapting its seating and lighting to fit the needs of each performer, whether they are a seasoned pro or a new voice in the community. We often get asked how we maintain such a diverse calendar. The answer lies in our collaboration with groups like Malhar Laugh Club and our open-door policy for local artists. We do not just rent out a space; we provide the light, sound, and atmosphere to make each performance feel intentional. If you see a past event here that piques your interest, it is a good indicator of the types of shows we continue to bring to the stage. Community is at the core of these archives. From our seven-year milestone celebrations to our monthly workshops, every entry represents a moment where people gathered to share a story or learn a skill. Our mission is to keep this space buzzing, not just with shows, but with the conversations that happen before and after the curtain rises. Our doors are always open to those who want to experience art in a space that prioritizes the artist and audience relationship above all else. ## About Courtyard Koota We did not just put up walls and call it a day—we wanted a space where stories, art, and folks could connect. Natasha, Sridevi, Nanu, Khushi, and our community have spent seven years turning this Kengeri spot into a place where the barrier between performer and audience simply dissolves.
