## About Interior Design

### Spaces With Character, Not Just Looks

Every space tells a story. For us, it's about making sure yours feels lived in, not just “done up.” We always go back to the basics - sketching ideas, shuffling things around, and getting the right textures. At the end of the day, a space should feel like it belongs to you, with a bit of nostalgia and a lot of comfort.

### Homes That Breathe

- We lean into minimalist home interiors - nothing fussy, just clean lines, open plans, and loads of natural light. Think big windows, earthy tones, and materials like teak and kota stone.
- If you’re someone who hates clutter but loves a warm vibe, we get you. We use wood, cane, and soft fabrics to keep things cozy.
- Your old stuff? We love it. Pre-loved art, quirky finds, family heirlooms - all these are woven in so the place feels familiar.
- We mix modern with bits of Indian design, so it never feels out of place or too trendy.

### Beyond Living Rooms

- Workspaces: We design offices that help you focus. Simple layouts, glass partitions, nothing chaotic, always practical. Our workspace design solutions keep teams working together but not on top of each other.
- Restaurants & Hospitality: If you want a space that matches your food or brand, we work with color, custom lighting, and textures to build an experience, not just a look.

### Obsessed With Details

- Every knob, every finish, every custom furniture design is picked for a reason. We’re particular about using natural materials - terrazzo, hand-printed fabrics, lime plaster, even textured glass.
- If you want something unique, we’re happy to make it from scratch.

### Collaboration Is Everything

We don’t just hand over a plan. We chat, sketch, rework, and build together. The end result? A space that actually feels like yours.

## Meet your expert

[Compartment S4](https://mytribe.in/compartment_s4)

### My story

We call ourselves Compartment S4, like a train ride with co-passengers, always moving, always learning. Our studios are in Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, but really, our home is the creative process. We love site visits—sometimes it’s a dharamshala in Uttarakhand, sometimes a plaza for women in Ahmedabad. Design for us is quiet, strong, and rooted in care. We’re here for the stories, the laughter, and the spaces that bring people together.

### My work

- **What We Do**: Architecture, Urban Design, and Interior Design for residences, restaurants, and community spaces. We focus on adaptive reuse architecture and heritage revitalization design.
- **Our Approach**: Every project is a story. We keep it people-centric, context-sensitive, blending a lived-in vibe with minimalist residential interiors.
- **How We Work**: We sketch, shuffle, get our hands dirty. We listen to the place, the people, and let that shape the design.
- **What You Get**: Spaces that feel earthy and calm. We create visual and emotional anchors, where daily life meets thoughtful design.
