At Embassy Lake Terraces, we used glossy blue cabinets and strategic lighting to create a space that feels expansive, moody, and deeply personal. ## Photos and videos - ![The combination of glossy blue cabinets and a dark, reflective backsplash creates a sleek and moody atmosphere. We used high-gloss blue cabinetry that reflects ambient light, paired with black granite that creates a seamless look without demanding constant upkeep. It is a space designed for someone who loves to cook but prefers a kitchen that wipes clean in seconds. For many, the idea of a dark kitchen feels risky. You might worry about the space feeling cramped or the maintenance becoming a headache. In this project at Embassy Lake Terraces, we addressed both. **Why Dark Colors Work** Contrary to popular belief, dark cabinetry provides depth. By keeping the floor and ceiling neutral and adding under-cabinet LED profile lighting, we ensure the kitchen feels open. The frosted glass upper cabinets break up the solidity of the blue, adding a layer of transparency that keeps the design feeling light. **Materials That Handle Real Life** Design is only as good as its durability. For this kitchen, we utilized: * **High-Gloss Cabinetry:** Beyond the aesthetics, these surfaces are designed to be wipeable and moisture-resistant, essential for a workspace that sees daily action. * **Black Granite Countertops:** We chose this because of its density and stain resistance. Unlike some porous light-colored stones, this granite handles spills from turmeric or tea effortlessly. * **Handleless Mechanics:** The use of G-profile handles maintains clean lines, but more importantly, it means there are no crevices for dust or flour to settle into, making your daily cleaning routine much faster. Ultimately, this kitchen is about creating a space where the mood is right for your evening routine, whether you are unwinding with a drink or prepping a meal. It is a perfect example of our 'quiet luxury' philosophy—where function meets a bold, sophisticated aesthetic. ## About Combine Design I’m Combine Design.
