For Vat Purnima or Makar Sankranti, I don't just photograph the finished look. I come prepared to document the preparations—the arranging of the puja thali, the traditional jewellery, and the interactions with family—ensuring the spiritual essence of the ritual is as central as your outfit. My approach to cultural photography goes beyond standard portraits. I understand that a Nauvari saree or the specific elements of a Mangalsutra are not just accessories, but symbols of heritage. When you book a festive shoot, I am there to capture the 'sovale' (purity) of the occasion. Whether you are looking for a solo portrait session or a family shoot during a festival, I handle the technical side—lighting, composition, and posing—while you focus on the rituals. My gear is setup for mobile, meaning we can do these shoots at your home, a local temple, or a garden setting, depending on where the festivities are happening. For Makar Sankranti, I focus on capturing the vibrant colours of the attire and the joy of the community gatherings. For Vat Purnima, I aim for a more serene, devotional aesthetic under the banyan tree. I also specialize in cinematic reels that combine these portraits with audio overlays, perfect for sharing your family's festive spirit on Instagram. If you have specific cultural traditions or a particular family ritual you want documented, tell me before the shoot. I'll make sure we have the right lenses and angles ready to honour those customs correctly. ## About Color Palette Artworks I'm Akshay.
