Because our process relies on plant-based dyes instead of harsh synthetic chemicals, we cannot treat polyester or synthetic-blend garments. When you reach out to us, please share the fabric composition of your item, and we will let you know if it is suitable for our deep-scouring and natural dyeing process. ### Why Choose Natural Dyes Traditional textile dyeing is one of the most water-intensive and polluting industries in the world. By choosing plant-based methods, you avoid the heavy metals and microplastics that synthetic dyes and polyester fabrics shed into our river systems. Our process starts with deep-scouring to remove industrial softeners, ensuring the fabric is ready to absorb pigments from indigo, madder, or local plant waste. ### Our Process When you bring a garment to our Mysore studio, we treat it with the same care we use for our own organic collection. We offer three primary techniques: - **Solid Over-dyeing:** To give a faded piece a vibrant new shade. - **Shibori and Eco-printing:** Using natural leaves and resist techniques to create patterns that synthetic printing cannot replicate. - **Stain Camouflage:** We use creative placement of natural prints to mask stubborn stains, extending the life of your clothes. ### For Designers and Brands Beyond individual upcycling, we act as a technical resource for brands transitioning to sustainability. Whether you need small-batch fabric yardage dyeing or consultancy on implementing natural dyeing in your production line, we provide the expertise to make the switch.
