I embrace these small quirks because they prove every bowl and vase was shaped by hand, not a machine, making them feel like something you can actually live with every day. My work at Clay Explore is an extension of my belief in slow living. When I am at the wheel in my Prabhadevi studio, I focus on the connection between the clay and the person who will eventually use it. Whether I am throwing a sturdy mug for your morning coffee or carving intricate designs into a wall platter using the sgraffito technique, the goal is always to bring a tactile, earthy experience into your home. I work primarily with stoneware and porcelain, exploring forms that feel organic and comfortable. You will find that my glazes range from matte, earthy tones to glossy finishes, always food-safe and lead-free. My design inspiration comes from nature, including lotuses, ferns, and birds, which I paint directly onto the clay using brushes rather than transfers. This means no two pieces are identical. Beyond functional tableware like plates, bowls, and tumblers, I also create statement decor. This includes ceramic wall art and sculptural vases meant to hold space in your home. If you are looking for something specific, such as a custom set for a cafe or a unique gift hamper, I enjoy collaborating on pieces that tell a story. My studio is open to those who want to learn as well, as I conduct workshops on wheel-throwing and hand-building for beginners. ## About Clay Explore I’m Yashashri, and I run Clay Explore here in Prabhadevi. I’m happiest when my hands are covered in clay, turning raw stoneware into things you’ll actually want to reach for, whether it’s a morning coffee mug or a plate for your wall.
