Whether it's our spiced Simnel cake for Easter or the classic fruit cake for Christmas, everything is made from scratch using real butter and honest kitchen staples. There are no weird ingredient codes here, just actual food that tastes like the holidays should. I started this kitchen to recreate the festive magic I saw growing up in Mumbai, peeking into the kitchens of legendary home bakers. Festive baking isn't just about sugar; it's about the deep, complex flavors of authentic holiday traditions. ### The Festive Philosophy My festive menus are limited-edition and made-to-order, which means I can control every single ingredient that goes into your box. You won't find artificial stabilizers or cheap fillers. Instead, you get: * **Artisanal Quality:** Recipes developed during my time as a Masterchef finalist, refined for home-style comfort. * **Real Ingredients:** High-fat butter, premium chocolate, and fresh fruit compotes—the way it was meant to be. * **Inclusive Options:** We do sugar-free, keto, and gluten-free versions of our seasonal staples, so no one gets left out of the holiday fun. ### Seasonal Highlights * **Christmas:** My fruit cakes are a labour of love, aiming to match the depth of flavour I remember from childhood. We pair them with classic marzipan and spiced cupcakes. * **Easter:** Think vibrant, playful treats. Our chocolate nests and Simnel cakes are crowd-pleasers that bring a bit of colour to the table. Since these are batch-produced to ensure freshness, I recommend booking your slot a few days in advance. Whether you need a festive dessert platter for a family brunch or a thoughtful gift box, I’m here to make sure it’s sweet, honest, and completely delicious. ## About Chubby Baker & Co. I’m the Chubby Baker, a queer-owned kitchen here in Bandra serving up festive memories, not just sugar. I believe in baking with honest ingredients and a whole lot of heart, because the holidays are too special for anything less than perfect.
