For events like Guru Puja or Saka Dawa, we often set up an altar where you are welcome to bring modest offerings of flowers, incense, or fruit. It is a meaningful way to contribute to the practice and connect with our community, though your presence is the most important offering of all. Our center serves as a sanctuary for those looking to engage with the Tibetan Buddhist tradition through practice and prayer. We believe that spiritual growth happens in community, which is why our Pujas and special events are designed to be inclusive, welcoming both dedicated practitioners and those simply curious about the Dharma. ### What to Expect at Our Gatherings Our calendar is marked by significant days in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, such as Saka Dawa, which commemorates the birth, enlightenment, and parinirvana of the Buddha. During these times, we hold Shakyamuni Buddha Pujas to generate merit and focus on our practice. We also observe Guru Pujas, which are profound opportunities for devotion, purification, and requesting blessings from our teachers. These sessions typically include chanting, guided reflection, and quiet time in our prayer hall. ### Hybrid Participation We understand that life in Bengaluru is busy and that many of our friends are joining from elsewhere. All our Pujas and prayers are held in a hybrid format. You can join us in-person at our Domlur center to share the space and energy with others, or connect via Zoom from the comfort of your home. We share specific links and preparation instructions through our WhatsApp community group before every event. ### A Community Effort Our center operates entirely on the generosity of our students and friends. While there is no fee to join our prayers, we often accept voluntary contributions for offerings like flowers or tea to help manage our facility. If you are new, please feel free to reach out to us. There is no dress code or formality required—just an open mind and a respectful heart. ## About Choe Khor Sum Ling We are a close-knit Dharma family in Domlur, Bangalore.
