I treat every sequence with the same precision I apply to my training—focusing on the garment's movement, coordinating with dressers, and hitting my cues during rehearsals. Whether it is an ethnic piece or avant-garde design, my goal is to embody the story the designer wants to tell. There is a specific energy to live fashion shows that studio work just cannot replicate. Having walked for Bangalore Times Fashion Week, Mysore Fashion Week, and Lulu Fashion Week over the last 8 years, I have learned that the walk is only half the battle. The other half is preparation. My approach to runway modeling is heavily influenced by my experience as a fitness coach. I maintain a lean, athletic build that designers often look for to showcase specific fits, particularly in sportswear or tailored western wear. This background gives me the core strength and posture needed to carry heavy layers, experimental silhouettes, or unconventional props without losing the fluidity of the walk. When I am booked for a show, I integrate into the team early. This means attending all fittings, participating in dry runs, and coordinating closely with show directors. I am comfortable with quick changes, managing complex outfits, and hitting music cues. It is not about looking good on stage—it is about being a reliable professional backstage so the designer’s vision remains intact. I am always ready to adapt my gait and presence based on the collection's theme. Whether it is the fast-paced energy of a high-street menswear show or the composed, deliberate walk required for traditional sherwanis and bandhgalas, I adjust my body language to suit the piece.
