Whether it's a soulful bhajan, a folk song, or a semi-classical piece, I add an acoustic touch that makes every moment feel personal and grounded. ## Photos and videos - ![Performing a Rajasthani folk song with my group, dressed in traditional attire for a G20 event. It is usually just my voice and light acoustic accompaniment, which keeps the focus entirely on the lyrics and the emotion of the moment. This raw, unplugged approach works beautifully for intimate pujas, house warming ceremonies, or family gatherings where you want a sense of warmth rather than a loud, overproduced sound. Classical training is the foundation of my music. It taught me the discipline of Hindustani classical sargam and the importance of hitting every note with honesty. In this collection, you will find a mix of what I hold close to my heart: ### My Approach to Traditional Music Whether it is a Rajasthani folk song for a themed event or a devotional bhajan like 'Ram Siya Ram' for Diwali, my goal is to strip away the noise. I avoid heavy backing tracks for these sessions because I want the sound to be as authentic as possible. It is about creating a space where people can actually listen. ### Where This Fits Best * **Intimate Religious Ceremonies:** If you are hosting a puja, a jagran, or a house blessing, I provide a calming, respectful musical atmosphere. * **Cultural & Folk Events:** From major public events to college cultural festivals, I enjoy bringing the energy of folk music to larger stages. * **Semi-Classical Evenings:** These are perfect for dinner parties or gatherings where you want something elegant, cultural, and slightly different from the usual Bollywood hits. I am based in Delhi and happy to travel for these performances. If you have a specific song request or a traditional piece that is special to your family, let me know in advance. I love learning new melodies, and I am always happy to put together a setlist that fits the mood of your specific occasion. ## About Charvi Dhingra I am Charvi, a Delhi-based musician who grew up with Hindustani classical music as my constant companion.
