Whether we are celebrating a peer's milestone or honouring the legacy of a friend, these community moments keep the spirit of our traditions alive. If you are looking to bring this depth of cultural engagement to your own institution or event, I am here to share those stories. My practice goes beyond the studio walls and the stage lights. It is about nurturing a community of 'rasikas'—informed art lovers—and maintaining a dialogue that keeps our classical traditions relevant today. ### Why Community Matters In the guru-shishya parampara, a dancer never exists in a vacuum. We grow in the shade of great gurus and alongside fellow co-travellers on the 'rasa' journey. Celebrating a peer’s Padmashri, or paying tribute to a legend like Kumudini-ji or Kamalini-ji, is my way of anchoring my art in gratitude. ### Bringing This Experience to You I believe that the stories behind the dance are just as important as the performance itself. When I speak at universities or cultural forums, or when I curate events, I bring these personal connections to the table. These are not dry lectures, they are interactive, honest conversations about what it means to lead a life devoted to art. Whether you are planning a cultural conclave, seeking a guest speaker for an academic institution, or looking to curate an arts event that bridges tradition and contemporary relevance, my engagements are designed to be personal and deeply rooted in the Natya Vriksha philosophy. Let’s create a space where the arts are not just seen, but felt and understood. ## About Geeta Chandran I am Geeta Chandran. Dance is my language, but the community is my heart.
