They capture the quiet moments of paying respects to the gurus who built the path I walk on, and the collaborative joy of being part of the wider Indian dance community. When you look at these photos, you are seeing the lineage and the conversations that fuel my teaching and performances. This collection is an invitation into the spaces I inhabit when I am not teaching or performing... these are the moments that sustain me. You will see glimpses of the tributes I pay to legends like Guru Kelucharan Mahapatra. Such markers are vital in our tradition; they remind us of the lineage we inherit. You will also see photographs from festivals like Serendipity, where I engage with fellow artists and jury members... these conversations are where dance evolves. My work is not just about the steps, but about the community that keeps the art form breathing. Whether I am celebrating a peer’s Padma award or capturing a moment from my early career, I believe that an artist’s life is defined by these connections. They inform my teaching and bring depth to the storytelling I share with my students.
