This is not a transactional arrangement where you leave the studio and the connection ends. My students become part of my extended family, and we celebrate life’s milestones together, from upanayanam ceremonies to personal triumphs, ensuring the art form stays deeply connected to our daily lives. The guru-shishya parampara is the heartbeat of my studio in Gulmohar Park. It means that while we work with rigorous discipline, the foundation is built on unconditional support. When you join, we aren't just memorizing steps. We are conditioning your body through yoga, analyzing the mythological depth of the stories we tell, and refining the subtle art of abhinaya to ensure you truly inhabit the character. My classes include 8 to 12 sessions per month, focusing on the essential building blocks of Bharatanatyam: Adavus, Jathis, and rhythmic Korvais. We do not just teach rote movement. We discuss theory, Talam, and Ragam so that you understand the logic behind the dance. Whether you are a beginner or looking to refine your classical repertoire, the goal is to help you find your own voice. This mentorship is open to anyone willing to learn, regardless of your cultural background. You will find that our practice is a mix of tradition and modern thought, held together by the same personal attention I give to every student. I am there for you at every stage, from mastering your first basic posture to the complex journey of an Arangetram debut. If you are ready to commit, I am ready to guide you. ## About Geeta Chandran I am Geeta Chandran, and for me, Natya Vriksha is an extension of my home. I do not just teach steps. I mentor dancers through the highs and lows of their journey, ensuring that every student finds their unique voice through the rich traditions of Bharatanatyam.
