It is not a permanent straightening service, but it will significantly smooth out your texture and cut down your daily styling time for the next 3 to 4 months, provided you follow the right aftercare. ### How the Botox Treatment Works Many people confuse Botox with permanent straightening, but it is actually a deep conditioning protein treatment. My process begins with a clarifying wash to open your hair cuticles, followed by the application of a protein compound. After a 45 to 60 minute absorption period, I use a titanium flat iron to seal the product into each strand. ### What to Expect This service takes between 2.5 to 3.5 hours depending on your hair length and density. You will walk out with sleek, frizz-free hair, but please keep in mind that results vary based on your natural hair type. While it makes maintenance much easier, it does not permanently change your hair structure. ### Maintenance Tips To get the full 3 to 4 months of benefits, you must switch to a sulfate-free shampoo. Sulfates will strip the treatment out faster, making your hair return to its original texture.
