I engage. Whether it's spotting a guest's 'serious Rosogolla' stare or highlighting someone's 'chiku cheeks,' the process is a performance. I draw 10 to 12 people every hour, so there is always a crowd gathered around my easel, making it a perfect ice-breaker for any wedding, birthday, or office party. ### How the Caricature Booth Works When you hire me for an event, you get more than just a drawing; you get a live art experience. I bring my own professional setup, including a wooden easel, drawing board, and portable LED focus lights to ensure I can work anywhere, from dimly lit hotel ballrooms to bright outdoor lawns. **The Process:** * **Live Interaction:** Guests sit for a few minutes while I work. I use professional markers on premium A3/A4 cartridge paper for clean, lasting results. * **The Roast Style:** My signature style is fun and lighthearted. I look for the unique quirks that make a person recognizable—a distinct hairstyle, expressive glasses, or a charming smile—and exaggerate them just enough to get a laugh. * **The Take-Home:** Guests walk away with a personalized party favor that’s unique to them. It is not just a sketch; it is a memento of the fun they had at your event. ### Where My Art Fits In I am based in Kolkata but travel across India and abroad for gigs. My booth is versatile: * **Weddings & Biyebaris:** Perfect for Sangeet or Mehendi functions where you want to keep guests entertained while they wait for their turn. * **Corporate Events:** A great way to break the ice between colleagues or delegates at conferences. * **Private Parties:** Birthdays, anniversaries, or intimate get-togethers where a bit of humor goes a long way. ### Practical Details I offer two main packages: a 4-hour session which covers 40-50 guests, and an 8-hour session for high-volume events covering up to 90 guests. I work as a solo artist, so you are always getting the expert, not a substitute. If you need something specific, like a logo on the drawing or a thematic style for a corporate launch, let's chat about it. ## About Carry the Caricature I'm Debayan, the artist behind the easel. I live for that moment of 'kya sundar banaya hai!' when a guest sees their caricature for the first time. I bring the fun, the pens, and the quirks to your event, turning every face into a story.
