Whether you have a compact apartment or a spacious layout, I design puja units that balance traditional sanctity with modern, clutter-free aesthetics. ## Photos and videos - ![A beautiful puja unit integrated into the living room, featuring an arched niche for the idol and drawers for storage. I always suggest integrating hidden drawers for your diyas, samagri, and books, so the main unit remains clean and pristine, keeping that spiritual vibe intact without looking cluttered. A puja room is the heartbeat of an Indian home. In cities like Mumbai and Pune, space is often at a premium, so a dedicated room is not always possible. That is where my custom mandir designs come in. I focus on creating a dedicated 'mandir corner' that feels separate and special even within an open floor plan. ### My Approach to Sacred Spaces * **Design Consistency:** I match the mandir finish with your living room furniture. If you have a modern theme, I use clean lines and laminate finishes. For a traditional look, we go with warm wood tones. * **Jali Work:** I use CNC-cut Jali partitions to visually separate the prayer area from the rest of the living room. It provides privacy and adds a beautiful, intricate texture that reflects light. * **Smart Lighting:** Harsh lighting ruins the mood. I integrate warm LED strip lights or small spotlights inside the unit to highlight the idol, creating a soft, divine glow. * **Material Choice:** Since oil and incense can stain surfaces, I recommend high-gloss laminates or polished stone countertops. These materials are durable and easy to wipe clean. ### Common Questions * **Can you build a mandir in a small 1BHK?** Absolutely. I design floating, wall-mounted units that save floor space while offering plenty of storage for your essentials. * **Do you handle the electricals?** Yes. Part of my service is ensuring the lighting points are perfectly placed and concealed, so you do not see ugly wires hanging around your prayer space. ## About Carpenter Babu I am Carpenter Babu, and I believe your mandir should be the quietest, most peaceful corner of your home.
