These pages are where I build the foundation for every caricature I draw for you. Whether I am nailing the laugh lines of a child or experimenting with a character turnaround, these pen drawings help me understand how features move. When I switch to the tablet to create your commission, this training is what ensures the final output looks lively and authentic, not like a stiff, automated filter effect. ### How My Sketchbook Informs Your Art I believe that a great digital caricature needs more than just a software tool. It needs an eye for proportion and character. My sketchbook is where I strip away the digital distractions and focus purely on the essence of a subject. When you see those messy lines and practice sketches, you are seeing the process of understanding how to exaggerate features without losing the person's soul. ### Why Hand-Drawn Origins Matter Many digital portraits today rely on filters or automated reshaping, which can leave a piece feeling flat or sterile. My work is different because every curve, shadow, and expression is interpreted by hand first. - **Character Turnarounds:** Before I draw your group portrait, I often sketch the individuals from different angles to understand their facial structure. - **Expression Studies:** I spend time capturing authentic reactions, like a genuine laugh or a thoughtful gaze, so that when I draw your caricature, the emotion feels real. - **Real-World Observation:** Many of the sketches you see here are from my travels or daily life in Bangalore, which helps me stay sharp and creative for your custom requests. When you commission a piece, you are not just getting a JPEG file. You are getting an illustration rooted in real sketching technique. Whether it is a fun family portrait for an anniversary or a cinematic movie scene recreation, the attention to detail starts right here on the paper. ## About Sreeni I am Sreeni. When I am not working on digital commissions, you will find me with a pen and my sketchbook, sketching whatever captures my attention. I do not rely on digital shortcuts because, for me, art starts with the hand and the heart.
