Kids train barefoot on safe, sprung floors or mats, focusing on the Ginga base step and animal flow-inspired warm-ups. It is a low-pressure environment where we use hoops and fun movement games to teach basic coordination, ensuring your child feels like they are joining a game rather than sitting through a lecture. ### More Than Just a Martial Art Capoeira is a complete conversation between music and movement. While the physical side builds strength, flexibility, and agility, the cultural aspect is equally important. In our sessions, children learn the rhythm of the Berimbau and Pandeiro and pick up simple songs in Portuguese. This musicality helps them develop a sense of timing and rhythm that benefits them far beyond the training space. ### The 'Art of Play' Philosophy We avoid the rigid structure often found in traditional martial arts schools. Instead, we use the Roda—the circle of community—to encourage social interaction. When kids step into the Roda, they are not just performing moves; they are learning to observe, react, and connect with their peers. This builds empathy and social confidence alongside physical capability. ### Where We Train We bring these sessions to various studios across the city to keep things accessible. Whether you are looking for workshops at Namma Nook in Bengaluru, the Dhurii Academy, or our programs in the Mumbai Metropolitan area like the Shaolin Temple Warrior Monk Academy or Hullabaloo Children’s Studio in Juhu, the core experience remains the same. We structure our classes to ensure safety at every turn. Instructors are present to guide every movement, from simple cartwheels to more complex acrobatics, using supportive techniques so kids can safely explore what their bodies can do. For me, it has always been about more than just kicks and flips; it is a community where we sing, play, and find our flow together.
