Our sessions feel more like a high-energy playground where the *ginga*—our foundational movement—helps kids develop balance, coordination, and confidence. Most parents tell me they are surprised to see even their shyest children eagerly jumping into the *roda* (our circle) within just a few weeks. ### More Than Just A Workout We treat Capoeira as a complete cultural immersion. It isn’t just about kicking or doing cartwheels; it is about learning a language, a rhythm, and a community. ### What A Typical Class Involves * **The Warm-Up:** We start with movement games that get the heart rate up without feeling like a gym session. * **Acrobatics on Soft Mats:** Your child will learn to cartwheel (*au*), handstand, and bridge safely. We focus on technique so they build strength the right way. * **Music and Language:** We sing songs in Portuguese and learn to play instruments like the *pandeiro* and *berimbau*. This connects kids to the Brazilian roots of the art. * **The Roda:** This is where we put it all together. It’s a non-contact, playful interaction where kids learn to anticipate movements, respect their partner, and express themselves. ### Safety First We maintain a maximum 1:12 instructor-to-student ratio. Whether at our studios in Indiranagar, HSR, or Mumbai, we use professional sprung floors or high-quality mats to ensure every fall is a soft one. ### Is It Right For My Child? We have batches for toddlers (ages 2-4) and older kids (up to age 13). You don’t need to be athletic to start; you just need to be willing to play. We invite you to book a trial session so your child can experience the energy for themselves. ## About Capoeira Academy I’m Ravi, and Capoeira has been my life since I was 14. I don’t just teach moves; I create a space where kids stop worrying about being perfect and start enjoying the art of play.
