This video shows a rider practicing her swing in our arena. I provide all the coaching needed to get you started in this exhilarating game.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/0c643380-7b39-4ae7-ae6e-e7a0cf4e9c91) ## About Arena Polo: A Thrilling Team Sport We start with the fundamentals of the mallet swing, ensuring you are comfortable with the technique before we worry about the speed. You do not need to be a pro rider to begin; we pair you with steady, experienced horses that let you focus on learning the game mechanics rather than just holding on. Arena polo is essentially the more accessible cousin of traditional field polo. Because it takes place in a smaller, enclosed sand arena, the game is faster, more intimate, and significantly easier to learn for someone new to the sport. My setup at Gwal Pahari is designed to take the intimidation out of learning. We focus on building your confidence in the saddle first, then layer in the specific skills of polo—swinging the mallet, ball control, and team positioning. We train under the supervision of NCC coaches who understand that technique is more important than raw power. Whether you want to pick up a new competitive hobby or just want to try something completely different from your standard gym routine, this is it. We provide all the necessary safety gear and match you with a horse that matches your current comfort level, so you never feel out of your depth. Since our arena is floodlit, you do not have to worry about the sun setting before you get your practice in. It is a full-body workout, a strategic mental exercise, and a solid dose of fresh air, all within 10 minutes of Golf Course Road. ## About CanterWoods I built CanterWoods to be the city's escape, and arena polo is one of the most exciting ways to get out of your head and into the moment.
