My handover sessions are where I teach you the commands, mechanics, and mindset to keep your dog sharp and disciplined long after they go home. ## Photos and videos - [Video: Rustam's handover sessions have begun. I show you how to pair the sound—what I call 'neh'—with a specific, timed jerk on the leash to stop a behavior in its tracks. It is about building muscle memory for both you and your dog, so you stop relying on hope and start relying on clear communication. ### Why the Handover is Non-Negotiable Most training fails not because the dog forgot the commands, but because the owner never learned how to enforce them. In my board and train programs, I work with dogs to build drive and structure, but the real test is whether they listen to you when they get home. That is why I include two mandatory handover sessions at my Sector 62 facility in Gurugram. ### What You Will Actually Learn These sessions are not just about watching me work. I observe your body language, your leash handling, and the bond you currently share. I coach you through: * **Leash Mechanics:** Learning how to give corrections without being harsh or aggressive. * **Marker Training:** Using precise verbal cues so your dog understands exactly what you want. * **Trigger Management:** How to remain calm and neutral when your dog encounters distractions or reactivity triggers. * **Command Consistency:** Ensuring that your 'stay' and 'come' commands hold the same authority as mine. ### The Result By the time we finish, you will know how to handle your dog's reactivity, manage their impulse control, and maintain the obedience work they have learned. Whether you are dealing with a working-line German Shepherd or an anxious Indie, you walk away with the practical tools to lead your pack. ## About Varun Anand I train you, not just your dog. Simran and I believe that if the handler isn't confident, the training won't hold. We focus on these handover sessions so you walk away with the tools to manage your dog, not just a list of commands.
