Each bento cake character requires over an hour of dedicated artist time to pipe, ensuring clean lines and deep colors without the bitter aftertaste often found in cheaper food dyes. Because these are hand-drawn on a 4-inch canvas, I recommend booking with enough lead time to ensure I can give your specific design the attention it needs. When you choose a hand-piped bento cake, you are getting more than just a dessert. You are getting a piece of custom art created specifically for your event. Whether you want a recreation of a viral meme, a portrait of your pet, or an anime character, the process starts with your vision. ### The Process I use high-grade, oil-based colors to achieve the vibrant tones seen in my work—like deep blacks and bold blues—without ruining the texture of the buttercream. The base is your choice of eggless or egg-based sponge, covered in smooth Swiss Meringue or American Buttercream. ### Customization & Orders Since every illustration is free-handed, no two cakes are identical. You can send me a reference image or a rough sketch, and I will adapt it to fit the dimensions of a bento cake. ### Practical Details - **Weight:** Each cake is 300g to 350g, perfect for 1-2 people. - **Packaging:** Every order comes in an eco-friendly bagasse clamshell box, secured with a satin ribbon, and includes a fresh flower sprig and candles. - **Policy:** To keep my focus on the baking, I accept orders via text only. I do not take calls, so please send your ideas via WhatsApp or DM, and I will get back to you with availability and design feasibility. ## About Lost In Taste I’ve been baking and doodling on cakes in Mumbai for 7 years now, and it still feels wild.
