This keeps the taste light and fresh while still letting me add those detailed 3D characters your kids love. If you aren’t a fan of fondant, ask me about my cookie toppers—they add a great crunch and look fantastic without the sugar overload. I believe a birthday cake should be more than just a sweet treat. It is a chance to tell a story. Whether it is a Cocomelon rainbow, a Lego Ninjago scene, or a Beatles-themed mini submarine cake, my focus is on capturing the theme perfectly without compromising on the cake's quality. ### My Approach to Your Child's Cake I handle everything from scratch in my Malleswaram studio. When you come to me with a theme, we start by mapping it out. I often sketch designs—sometimes digitally—to get the colours and proportions right before I even touch the flour. ### Fondant vs. Buttercream I prefer using buttercream as a base because it tastes better. I only use fondant for the decorative accents, figurines, and plaques. If you want a character-heavy theme but prefer a 'no-fondant' finish, I use custom-shaped royal icing cookies as toppers. This technique creates a beautiful, textured look that kids really enjoy, and it adds a lovely cookie crunch to every bite. ### Important Details for Bangalore Parents * **Eggless Options:** All my cakes are available as eggless by default. * **Pick-up Only:** Because these cakes are delicate, intricate structures, they are strictly for pick-up from my studio in Malleswaram. Please ensure your car AC is running to keep the buttercream stable during transport. * **Planning Ahead:** Designing these cakes is a labour of love that takes days of planning and crafting. I appreciate a few days of notice to ensure I can give your child’s cake the attention it deserves. ## About Namita Baindoor Hi, I’m Namita.
