Instead of hand-rolling hundreds of tiny fondant balls to create the sheep's wool, I repurposed a pearl border mold I already owned. It saved me hours and provided a much more consistent texture. I approach every order this way, constantly looking for the smartest tools and methods to deliver high-quality, detailed custom work without cutting corners. I treat every cake as a mini engineering project. Whether I am building a sturdy armature for a tall figurine or figuring out how to balance two worlds on one tier, my studio in Malleswaram is where these ideas evolve. I have been baking since 2013, and for me, the process is just as important as the result. I share these snippets because I believe you should know exactly what goes into the dessert you serve at your event. I am very involved in every step, from custom-mixing fondant colors to match a traditional Seemantham outfit, to sculpting facial expressions that actually capture a person’s likeness. It is not always smooth sailing—I have even had to rebake entire engagement cakes when things went wrong—but that honesty is part of my service. I take pride in the technical side, like learning to make traditional Sakkare Acchu or mastering character modeling. I even run workshops to teach these methods, because I believe the best cake art happens when you understand the mechanics behind the fondant.
