Every session starts with a deep dive on our magnetic demonstration board, where I map out specific scenarios like the Italian Game or Sicilian Defence. This means students are not just memorizing moves. They are actually visualizing the logic behind the strategy before they even touch their own pieces. Whether you are picking up a pawn for the first time or training to sharpen your competitive rating, my goal is to make chess a thinking exercise rather than a memorization test. We keep our batches small so that every student gets direct feedback on their specific blind spots during opening sequences or endgame transitions. ### Why our weekend chess sessions work We intentionally keep our sessions on weekends to fit your schedule without the pressure of school-day fatigue. Each hour-long class is split between theory on the wall-mounted demonstration board and active, hands-on practice. - **For Beginners:** We start with the absolute basics, focusing on piece movement and the fundamental rules, ensuring a solid foundation before moving to tactics. - **For Advanced Players:** We deep dive into complex strategies like castling, en passant, and competitive clock management to prepare you for tournaments. - **Consistent Practice:** We use standard FIDE-compliant boards and weighted Staunton pieces because getting used to professional equipment matters when you eventually step into a tournament setting. Beyond the board, we conduct weekly internal practice matches. This provides a safe, low-pressure environment to test out new strategies against peers. By the end of each term, I provide an assessment of your internal rating, giving you a clear picture of where you stand and what needs work. If you have been looking for chess coaching in Banaswadi that balances formal theory with real-world application, this is it. ## About Butterfly Talent Academy We are BTA, and we have been running classes here in Banaswadi since 2009.
