It is the story of Prof. NC Bakshi and the relentless grit he instilled in every player who wears our jersey. ## Photos and videos - ![An old photograph honoring our club's founder and cricket guru, the late Prof. NC Bakshi, seated in the center. His light continues to guide us, and we strive to uphold the standards of excellence he set for Bright Cricket Club.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/3a192d2e-bb0c-4a2c-9d5f-b00742c37830) ## About Our Legacy & Guiding Spirit When you walk onto our ground, you aren't just joining a cricket academy, you are stepping into a timeline that began in 1980. We don't just look at your technique; we look at the 'heart and fight' that Bakshi sir preached. If you train here, expect to hear about the old-school rules and the modern demands of professional cricket in the same sentence. It is intense, it is demanding, and it is exactly how Delhi’s top league players are forged. For over four decades, Bright Cricket Club has operated on a simple motto: where talent meets training and opportunity. Founded by Prof. NC Bakshi, our club in West Patel Nagar and Rajinder Nagar has navigated the highs and lows of the Delhi cricket circuit, including the long road back to the Premium-I division. ### Why Our Roots Matter This legacy isn't just for show. It dictates how we coach. When we talk about discipline, we are talking about the standards set in 1980. Our training blends these traditional values with scientific cricket drills, such as our specific Star Drills, hurdle training, and uneven surface practice. We don't just run 'boring' net sessions; we simulate real match conditions because that is what is required to make the DDCA grade. ### A Culture of Resurgence We often talk about the 'resurgence of Bright'—a period of six or seven years where we fought hard to reclaim our spot in the top division. That zeal is what we look for in our students. Whether you are a kid starting out or a working professional looking to break into the league scene, you are expected to bring that same hunger. We stay connected to our roots—including traditions like our Janmashtami havan—because cricket in Delhi is about community as much as it is about skill. If you are looking for a place where you will be coddled, this isn't it. If you are looking for a place that will push you to your physical and mental limits, you have found the right ground. ## About Bright Cricket Club We are the Brightons, carrying forward a flame lit by Prof. NC Bakshi back in 1980. We are here to turn your passion into performance, and that requires the kind of 'heart and fight' that doesn't come easy.
