The focus isn't on power-hitting yet; it's on teaching them the correct stance, head position, and grip early so they don't develop bad habits that are hard to fix later. ### Starting Young at Brigade Cricket Academy When a 5-year-old walks onto the ground, they don't need a heavy ball or a complex strategy. They need to learn how to stand, how to hold the bat, and how to watch the ball. That is the philosophy behind our junior coaching. ### Our Process for the Next Generation We don't rush the process. We use plastic bats and soft balls in the beginning to build confidence. My coaching isn't about telling a child what to do; it is about showing them the technique physically. Whether it is correcting their backlift or showing them how to bend their knees to get into the right stance, I am there on the turf with them. ### Why Join Us * **Technique First:** We focus on the basics like stance, head position, and balance. These are the building blocks of a complete cricketer. * **Safety First:** We maintain a controlled environment where kids can learn without injury, using age-appropriate equipment. * **Girls in Cricket:** We are committed to promoting the game among young girls. Admission and training are completely free for all aspiring female cricketers. * **Building Temperament:** Even at this young age, we teach them the value of hard work and discipline. Cricket is tapasya, and that journey starts the moment they step onto the field. ## About Brigade Cricket Academy I treat every kid here like my own. Cricket is tapasya, and I believe in guiding these little ones personally—fixing their grip, showing them how to stand, and teaching them to love the game before anything else.
