## About Tanjore Painting: The Royal Art

While our structured course guides you through every technique, please note that specialized materials like gold foil and semi-precious stones are charged separately due to market rates. This allows you to choose the exact quality and finish of the embellishments for your artwork, ensuring your final piece is exactly what you envisioned.

Tanjore painting is more than just a technique; it is a patient, meditative process that transforms a plain board into a piece of heritage. In our studio, we strip away the intimidation factor, making this ancient South Indian art form accessible to everyone from absolute beginners to those looking to refine their skills.

### The Tanjore Process
Our 8-session project-based course is designed to take you from a blank canvas to a finished work of art. We start with the foundational board preparation and structural cone work, which gives the painting its signature relief. The middle sessions focus on the delicate application of gold leaf—a defining characteristic of the style—and the precise setting of semi-precious stones. Finally, we move to the painting stage, where we apply rich, vibrant colors to bring the expressions and details of the deities to life.
