Our sessions are built around active participation—whether it's using shadow puppets to re-enact the Ramayana or learning Kannada phrases through songs during a bilingual storytelling session. Each activity is intentionally hands-on, so your child leaves with a craft or a new skill they built themselves. ### Why We Do Stories Differently At Bond Over Bindings, we believe a book is an invitation, not a lecture. Our space in Jakkur is designed for 'learning by doing,' where kids aren't just listeners—they are creators. By the time our sessions wrap up, children have typically engaged with the plot through art, movement, or puppetry. ### Our Storytelling Toolkit We mix traditional and modern techniques to keep things fresh and unpredictable for our young regulars: * **Kamishibai (Paper Drama):** We use this Japanese art form to turn illustrations into a dynamic performance that captivates younger attention spans. * **Shadow Puppetry:** From bringing the Ramayana to life during Diwali to creating original dragon stories on World Puppetry Day, our shadow screens turn the room into a visual playground. * **Bilingual Hearts:** We are proud to host sessions in English, Kannada, and Hindi. Whether it is 'Am Aha Aha Tales' or celebrating Namma Bengaluru’s linguistic diversity, we show kids that language is about rhythm and emotion. * **Interactive Read-Alouds:** We partner with local authors and storytellers to make book readings multi-sensory. Kids might solve a mystery, create a cipher, or build a puppet mid-story. ### Who This Is For Our programs are crafted for toddlers (starting at 10 months) up to teens. We prioritize an environment where kids feel safe to be silly and creative. Whether you are looking to nurture a love for reading in your toddler or want your older child to build confidence through theatre and creative writing, there is a spot for them here. ## About Bond Over Bindings I'm Neha, and I started BOB to make sure stories felt like a real-world experience, not a chore. My team and I believe that when kids get their hands messy while listening to a tale, the lesson sticks.
