You’re giving your child a mirror to their own world—familiar festivals, local landscapes, and the comfort of our diverse languages. I often hear parents worry if these stories are as good as the international bestsellers, and my answer is always the same: they’re better, because they feel like home. If you’re unsure where to start, drop me a message, and I’ll help you find a title that matches your child's age and interests. Indian literature for kids has exploded with creativity, and at BOB, I love bringing those stories to your shelves. From the pointillism art of Anpu Varkey to the rhythmic Kannada tales by local creators, there is so much soul in what our independent publishers produce. Why choose these titles? Because they bridge the gap between global standards and local contexts. When a child reads about a festival they just celebrated or a landscape they recognize, engagement skyrockets. I stock books that offer more than just a plot; they offer sensory play and social-emotional learning, like the works of Alankrita Amaya or Pankaj Singh. Whether you are hunting for bilingual board books to introduce Kannada or Hindi, or looking for wordless graphic novels that rely on visual storytelling, these books build deeper connections. These authors are not just writing; they are capturing the spirit of our community. I keep a dedicated selection of these Indian titles available in Jakkur, and I’m always happy to pull out a few recommendations when you visit. Let's make sure the next story time feels like an extension of our own Namma Bengaluru life. ## About Bond Over Bindings I’m Neha, and I started Bond Over Bindings because I wanted our kids to grow up seeing themselves in the stories they read.
