My work focuses on the invisible details, like weekly soil aeration, drainage checks, and proactive pest management, which are the only reasons these plants stay alive in an apartment setting. Gardening on a balcony in Bengaluru is not the same as planting in the ground. You are dealing with limited soil volume, high winds, and specific drainage constraints. My maintenance process is built to handle these challenges. ### The Monthly Maintenance Routine My service is not about just watering plants. Every visit follows a strict checklist to ensure your space stays healthy: * **Soil Health:** I perform regular aeration to prevent soil caking and apply slow-release fertilizers so your plants get consistent nutrition. * **Aggressive Pruning:** I cut back dry leaves and deadhead flowers. This is essential for preventing disease and encouraging dense, new growth. * **Pest Control:** I use neem oil and fungicides at the first sign of pests like mealybugs, before they spread across your pots. * **Housekeeping:** After I finish, I wash down the balcony floor to remove soil spillage and water stains, so your outdoor area remains as clean as your living room. ### Why High-Rise Gardens Need Expert Care Plants in pots dry out faster and are more susceptible to nutrient deficiency than those in open ground. If you have a vertical garden, I also audit the drip irrigation system to ensure each dripper is clear and delivering the right amount of water. My goal is to keep the system working, not just to tidy up the visible foliage. If you want a green space that lasts through the year, you need someone who understands plant biology and irrigation, not just someone with a watering can. ## About Bloom In Green I do not just add flowers to your space. I take a patch of land, or a set of empty pots, and build a system that stays strong and alive.
