We regularly donate our human-grade meals to shelters like Save Our Strays because every rescued cat deserves a full, nutritious belly. We also use our platform to share crucial BMC guidelines for community caretakers, ensuring you know your legal rights when feeding strays in your neighborhood. Being a pet parent is a big responsibility, but being a community animal caretaker is a monumental act of kindness. At Blep, we refuse to treat our mission as a side project. Whether it is highlighting celebrities who choose to adopt Indies rather than shop for breeds, or providing clarity on the latest feeding guidelines, we are here to shift the narrative. ### Why We Advocate for Indies Many dogs find themselves in shelters due to circumstances like financial hardship or relocation, not behavioral issues. By promoting adoption, we hope to bust the myths that prevent these loving, resilient dogs from finding their forever homes. We have seen firsthand how an Indie dog with a bit of love can transform into the most loyal family member you will ever have. ### Supporting Those on the Frontlines Feeding strays is often met with resistance, but the law is on the side of kindness. We constantly update our community on guidelines released by local bodies like the BMC. If you are a feeder or a caretaker, you deserve to do your work with dignity and support, not fear. ### Join the Movement Our goal is simple: to make sure every streetie is fed, every shelter is supported, and every potential pet parent considers adoption first. We share these stories not to pat ourselves on the back, but to inspire you to join the circle of care. If you are looking to support local shelters or need advice on how to start feeding community animals responsibly, reach out. Let's make a difference together. ## About Blep We are Blep, and we are pet lovers to the core. We started this because we were tired of seeing pet food treated like animal fodder in India, and now we are using our platform to stand up for street feeders, celebrate our furry friends, and push for a kinder world for all animals.
