It's a fair question. The truth is, pet food in India is regulated the same as cattle fodder, and FSSAI is for human food. Since our food is human-grade, we go above and beyond by getting every recipe tested in independent labs for nutrients, safety, and quality.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/cfed57ec-9080-4429-9b63-3f1c45c2fc7b) ## About Featured If you have ever read the back of a pet food packet and felt confused by the long list of chemicals, you are not alone. Most commercial food is classified as animal fodder, but we choose to do things differently. Our recipes use the same chicken breast, lamb, and seasonal vegetables you would pick up at your own local market. Every single meal is lab-tested for safety, shelf-stable, and ready to pour, making it easy to ditch the fillers for good. We started with a simple goal: feed our pets the same quality we put on our own plates. When we realized that 'premium' kibble was often full of mystery ingredients that led to health issues like hip dysplasia and poor digestion, we decided it was time for a change. ### Why we ditched the fodder In India, pet food regulations are practically non-existent, often grouping it with cattle feed. That is why we refuse to use any FSSAI-style 'fodder' classification. Instead, we treat our production like human food. Every recipe is formulated to be 100% human-grade, meaning no meat meal, no soy fillers, and definitely no artificial preservatives. ### What goes into the bowl We focus on two things: taste and nutrition. Whether you are dealing with a picky eater who turns their nose up at dry pellets, or a cat with specific protein needs, we have a solution. * **For Dogs:** We offer high-protein chicken and lamb recipes loaded with superfoods like pumpkin, zucchini, and blueberries. * **For Cats:** Our Mackerel Makarena and Tun-Tuna recipes are packed with essential omega-3s. * **For Wellness:** Our slow-cooked bone broths are a game changer for hydration, coat health, and joint support. ### Lab-tested for your peace of mind Since we cannot rely on standard pet industry labels, we take matters into our own hands. We send our recipes to independent labs to test for nutrients, heavy metals, and shelf stability. If we would not eat it, we will not pack it. It is that simple. Ready to make the switch? Check out our trial boxes to see how your pet reacts to real, honest food. ## About Blep I am Ravi, and the inspiration behind Blep is my dog, Max.
