Because our founder, Hanshi Bharat Sharma, serves on the WKF Technical Commission, our curriculum is updated to match current international competition standards. When you train with us in Janakpuri, you are practicing the exact movements and scoring techniques used in global championships. At Bharat Karate Academy, the philosophy 'Sangharsh mein aadmi akela hota hai, safalta mein duniya uske saath hoti hai' is not just a wall quote. It is the framework for how we train. Our approach is grounded in the rigorous standards of the World Karate Federation (WKF) and the Karate Association of India (KAI). Under the direct oversight of Hanshi Bharat Sharma, our daily sessions move beyond basic self-defense. We focus on the precision of Shotokan basics (Kihon), the structure of Kata, and the speed required for Kumite sparring. Whether you are a beginner or a competitive athlete, the goal is technical mastery. Our curriculum includes specific modules on: * **WKF Tournament Prep:** Learning reaction time, distance management, and scoring techniques that actually win points in sanctioned events. * **Conditioning:** We use plyometrics and partner-assisted strength drills that build the stamina required for high-speed sport karate. * **Flexibility:** Daily group stretching sessions to ensure high kicks are safe and sustainable. We don't promise shortcuts. We promise intense sessions, disciplined instruction, and a community of medalists. When you join our academy, you are not just signing up for a class; you are joining a lineage of competitors who are tested on the mat at events like the Delhi Olympic Games and the Coach Cup. ## About Bharat Karate Academy I am Susheel Colvin, Senior Coach at Bharat Karate Academy.
