We use wheelbarrow push-ups, plyometrics, and intensive stretching to build the explosive power required for techniques like the Ura Mawashi Geri. This ensures our athletes have the stamina to perform effectively under the high-pressure environment of competitive karate. We are not a recreational gym. At Bharat Karate Academy, every session is calibrated to the strict standards set by Hanshi Bharat Sharma. As a direct affiliate of the World Karate Federation (WKF) and the Karate Association of India (KAI), our curriculum eliminates outdated methods, focusing instead on reactive speed, tactical sparring, and tournament-level execution. Whether you are here for fitness or to join our competitive team, you will follow the same rigorous protocol. Our classes at the Janakpuri facility are conducted on 25mm blue interlocking EVA foam mats to ensure safety during intensive sparring drills. We dedicate significant time to flexibility training daily, preventing injuries while ensuring you can achieve the high kicks necessary for modern sport karate. The path to platforms like the Delhi Olympic Games starts here. Athletes in our quarterly competitive program undergo advanced sessions focusing on WKF rule sets, distance management, and high-intensity stamina building. We train together, sweat together, and win together, maintaining a supportive but relentless environment where every member of the BKA family pushes for their best result. ## About Bharat Karate Academy I am Susheel Colvin, Senior Coach at Bharat Karate Academy.
