This is a small 4x6 inch canvas where I painted a detailed cow and calf surrounded by lotus vines. It shows that even a small painting can have a lot of detail and heart.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/f5d87493-7cf0-4657-8e14-4e97d0be3c82) ## About Traditional Pichwai Art When I create Pichwai art, the detailing on the cow's jewelry and lotus petals is done with a 000-size brush. This requires total focus to ensure the gold-leaf work and fine lines look sharp, whether it is a small 4x6 inch desk piece or a large custom canvas for your living room wall. Pichwai is all about patience. I use heavy-duty 10oz cotton canvas to ensure the surface holds the weight of the paint and imitation gold foil without sagging. Each piece involves high-pigment acrylics to capture the deep blues, vibrant lotus pinks, and bright yellows that define this traditional style. My process is straightforward. We start by discussing the theme, whether you want a peaceful Buddha or the traditional cows and lotuses. I prepare the canvas with double-priming to ensure the colors stay true for years. If you choose the gold-leaf option, I apply the foil on the jewelry, halos, and borders, sealing it with a specialized fixative to prevent oxidation. I treat every project as a unique journey. Whether you need a small 4x6 inch piece for a bedside table or a massive feature wall installation, the level of detail remains the same. Once finished, I varnish each painting for protection against dust and UV rays. I pack every order with butter paper and hard PVC pipes for secure shipping across India from my Delhi studio. If you have a specific space in mind, let me know, and we can discuss the right size and layout to fit your decor. ## About Best Artist I am a Deshi Kalakar, and for me, Pichwai is not just a painting style; it is a form of bhakti.
