Every gown or fish-cut lehenga I design includes built-in corsetry with internal boning and a horsehair braid at the hem. This ensures the silhouette stays structured and sharp from your first dance to the final photo, without you needing to worry about the fit or the drape. ### Precision Engineering for Your Silhouette When I work on a cocktail gown or a fish-cut lehenga, my goal is to create a piece that makes you feel powerful. Because these silhouettes are form-fitting, they rely heavily on structure. I use internal boning in the corset bodice to provide support and waist definition, which eliminates the need for uncomfortable undergarments. At the hemline, I apply a horsehair braid, also known as crinoline tape, to ensure the flare keeps its shape and does not collapse while you walk or dance. ### The Process: From Sketch to Trial Every piece starts with a conversation at my studio in Karol Bagh. We look at the fabric, the embroidery, and the specific drape you want. Once we have a plan, I take your precise measurements. The most important step for these structured pieces is the trial fitting. I believe that a garment is only as good as its fit, so I make sure we have time for adjustments before you take it home. ### Customization for Your Event Whether you need a reception gown that mimics a classic mermaid cut or a bold Indo-Western jumpsuit with cold-shoulder details, the design can be adapted to your vision. If you have an inspiration photo or a specific fabric in mind, bring it to the studio. We can discuss how to incorporate signature elements—like hand-sewn beadwork or custom corset structures—to create a look that feels uniquely yours.
