I pair deep velvet drapes with specific lighting, using classic table lamps and candles to make the space feel intimate rather than gloomy. For the best result, consider booking this theme for evening events where the warm light can truly set the mood. When I build a vintage library setting, I am thinking about how the light hits the spines of books and how the fabric feels when you walk past it. This theme works well for milestone birthdays or anyone who prefers a sophisticated, quiet atmosphere over bright neon colors. I start with the foundation: rich, dark wood tones and textures. I create a book page backdrop that serves as the main photo spot, which pairs perfectly with the velvet bows I add to guest seating. The key difference in this setup is the layering. It is not just about placing a few books on a table. I use actual vintage lanterns, globes, and table lamps to create small, warm pockets of light throughout the room. I also pay attention to the floor. Depending on your venue, I can use carpet masking to ensure the modern venue floor does not break the illusion. If you are hosting this in a smaller space, the 8x8ft backdrop is sufficient to create a strong focal point. For larger halls, I recommend the full hall takeover package so I can extend the library aesthetic to the entrance and guest dining tables. Let me know if you have a collection of favorite books or specific colors you want to weave into the decor. I can customize the props to match your personal library. ## About Bela by Aparna I am Aparna. I see stories in every flicker of candlelight and every vintage prop tucked in a corner.
