I swap tape and plastic for Japanese Furoshiki wrapping using upcycled silk sarees. If you have a specific fabric or cloth with emotional value—like an old saree you want to repurpose—send it over, and I'll wrap your gifts in it. ### Why I Switched to Zero-Waste Years ago, I used cling wrap because it was the easiest option. But as I grew closer to the 'slow living' philosophy, it felt wrong to wrap botanical, earth-friendly products in plastic that would just end up in a landfill. My packaging journey has evolved from paper to rustic jute pouches and now, my favorite: vintage, upcycled saree fabric. ### The Furoshiki Difference Furoshiki is an ancient Japanese method of wrapping gifts in fabric. It uses no tape and no staples, just clever knots. It means the wrapping itself becomes a reusable item—a hair tie, a napkin, or a keepsake. Whether you need something for a wedding, a corporate retreat, or a thoughtful birthday surprise, the fabric wrap gives the gift a story before it's even opened. ### What Goes Inside Every item I pack is made in small batches in my studio. You aren't getting mass-produced fillers.
