They are a living room for the Tango community. You do not need to be a pro to join the floor. Whether it is our monthly El Cabeceo or a casual practice session, we prioritize the embrace and the connection over complex steps. Come prepared to meet people, switch partners, and simply dance. ### What is a Milonga? A Milonga is a social gathering where Tango is danced. It is not a club and it is not a recital. Here, the floor is for everyone, from beginners taking their first steps to seasoned dancers refining their Ochos. We host the El Cabeceo Milonga on the second Sunday of every month, providing a safe, welcoming space to practice what you learn in class. ### Why Community Matters Tango is a social dance. You cannot learn to converse in a vacuum. Our events are designed to break the barriers of the classroom. We encourage partner rotation so you get used to different heights, different strengths, and different rhythms. This is how you actually learn to lead and follow. You learn by responding to a human being in the moment, not by memorizing choreography. ### Beyond the Studio From flash mobs at UB City to participation in the India Tango Festival, we take our dance out of the studio. These events are about accessibility. They prove that Tango belongs in the public square, not just behind closed doors. Whether you are coming to dance or just to soak in the atmosphere, know that there is always a place for you here. Bring your curiosity and leave your expectations at the door. ## About Roopa Math I founded this academy because I wanted to build a real Tango family in Bangalore, not just a dance school. Every Milonga and event we hold is a chance for me to see my students connect, grow, and really enjoy the music. Come meet us at our next session, as the embrace is always open.
