It is about understanding the biomechanics of movement and the subtle dialogue between leader and follower that you cannot learn in a standard class. When masters like Javier Rodriguez and Fatima Vitale join us in Bangalore, we move beyond basic steps to explore the internal rhythm and the profound, silent communication that truly defines Argentine Tango. ### Why We Host International Maestros Tango is a living culture, not a static set of steps found in a manual. My 'TangoShastra' method provides the foundation, but to truly understand the depth of this dance, you need to see how the masters do it. Bringing world-renowned dancers like Javier Rodriguez and Fatima Vitale to our Koramangala studio allows our students to experience the intensity, precision, and musicality of Tango firsthand. ### What Happens at These Masterclasses These sessions are designed for those who have moved past the basics and are ready to refine their practice. We focus on: * **Biomechanics:** We break down the 'how' and 'why' of movement. You learn how to use your body to convey intent and how to interpret your partner's micro-movements. * **The Embrace:** We explore different embrace styles—open and close—to understand how they shift the energy and the conversation between you and your partner. * **Musicality:** It is not about keeping time; it is about phrasing the music. Our guest artists guide you to find the melody and the 'Tanda' (set of songs) in your own movement. ### Is This For You? You do not need to be a professional dancer to attend, but these sessions are more intensive than our regular weekly classes. If you have been dancing for a while and feel like you have hit a plateau, this is your breakthrough. We keep the groups intimate to ensure that every participant gets individual feedback. You will leave with a new perspective on your own dance and a deeper understanding of the connection that makes Tango, in my view, the most beautiful conversation you can have with a partner. ## About Roopa Math I am Roopa, and I started this academy because I wanted to bring the authentic heart of Buenos Aires to Bangalore. I do not believe in teaching steps; I believe in teaching a conversation. These guest artist sessions are where we strip away the noise and focus on what truly matters: connection, rhythm, and the silent dialogue between you and your partner.
