You will walk in without an instrument and leave having mastered the basic strumming patterns and finger placements for two complete songs, one English and one Hindi. ### Why start with the ukulele? Many people tell us they want to learn an instrument but find guitars intimidating or violins too technically demanding at the start. The ukulele is the perfect entry point. It is portable, its nylon strings are gentle on your fingers, and it produces a bright, happy sound that makes practicing enjoyable rather than a chore. ### What to expect in our 90-minute session We avoid the long, drawn-out curriculum that often discourages beginners. Our 'Zero to Song' method is designed for immediate gratification. During the 1.5-hour workshop at our D.N. Nagar studio, you will cover: - **Postural Basics:** How to hold your instrument correctly to avoid fatigue. - **Fretboard Navigation:** Understanding how to place your fingers to get a clear tone. - **Strumming Mechanics:** Learning the rhythm patterns that give your songs their energy. - **The Repertoire:** We ensure everyone leaves having performed two distinct tracks, allowing you to build a small library of music right from day one. ### The group dynamic We limit our batches to 4-6 participants. This small cohort ensures you get individual attention from our instructors while still benefiting from the shared energy of a group. You do not need to bring a friend or a guitar, though many people join our sessions to meet others in the Andheri West music community. If you have never touched an instrument before, this is exactly the environment we built for you. ## About BAM Academy of Music I am Brendan, and at BAM, I believe music is a language everyone can speak.
